  • Specific Responsibilities

    The Senior Director of Human Resources is responsible for creating and driving talent initiatives that support multiple brands within the corporate portfolio. This role is a blend of leadership, generalist, business partnership, organizational effectiveness and change management. The Senior Human Resources Director guides and manages the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs. This position supports our brands based in the Los Angeles area including BCBG, Joe's and Hudson Jeans.

     

    • Act as a true business partner. Use economic, financial, market, company and industry data to understand and support the improvement of business results and create effective strategies.
    • Serve as an accessible, authentic and objective partner for employees at all levels of the organization. Be a trusted advisor and key member of the business team.
    • Maintain an active connection with management and workforce through communication, relationship building, engagement events and having a visible presence in the business.
    • Support management teams on organizational discussions, provide support and guidance on any organizational changes.
    • Clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of channels in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message. Is recognized as a facilitator for communication.
    • Assess situations objectively in the best interests of the organization and employee and adapt appropriately.
    • Oversee the performance management/ succession planning process ensuring all employees are consistently provided with the tools and feedback needed to be successful in their role.
    • Coach managers on delivering effective and impactful employee relations-based conversations and documentation.
    • Identify & drive organizational and cultural changes needed to adapt strategically to changing market demands, technology, and internal initiatives.
    • Keep a pulse on the culture, morale and engagement levels across brands.
    • In partnership with the broader HR team, help to build a vibrant workplace culture which retains brand uniqueness but also represents a unified company.
    • Identify change management opportunities and solutions.
    • Propose and/or implement other value-add HR initiatives.
    • Create, influence and execute strategies that persuade key stakeholders to take action that will advance shared interests and business goals.
    • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to support the attraction, retention, development and engagement of talent throughout the organization.
    • Maintain a pulse on internal talent and make recommendations related to mobility and movement across brands.
    • Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment.
    • Monitors administration to established standards and procedures. Identifies opportunities for improvement and resolves any discrepancies.

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, PHR preferred.
    • 10+ experience working in a human resources management capacity.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, ADP or other HRM systems and Workforce Metrics reporting methods and systems.
