• Associate, Merchandiser

  • Specific Responsibilities

    •  Work with Merchandiser / Sales / Buying to gather information for the line plans and competitive analysis for each season and delivery
    •  Manage communication on product to cross-functional teams, e.g. Sales, Buying, Production, and Planning
    •  Assist in formatting reports of the Buys and reviewing for accuracy, edits, and CCO comments
    •  Prepare for Workshops with Buying/Sales and Costing Meetings by having all samples at the meeting and all supporting documentation available, e.g. style outs, corporate buys, product knowledge, etc.
    •  Work with Design Team in order to maintain fully updated Merchandising boards with applicable information
    •  Keep the Style outs accurate and up-to-date and inform Sales of all style changes
    •  Assist in setting up and coordinating all necessary items for Line Presentations  
    •  Work with Merchandiser to prepare competitive reports and strategic analysis on relevant brands
    •  Coordinate and oversee all late adds for all designated divisions to Planning and Sales departments
    •  Review and assist Merchandiser with all Change Management requests and ensure they are executed and communicated to all parties in a timely manner
    •  Review and assist Merchandiser with communicating all Red Flag Changes to applicable parties to ensure alignment and full communication
    •  Analyze Retail/Wholesale sales by delivery each month and present to Design Teams
    •  Work with our IP owner in communicating concept, sketch book, and SRS review
    •  Provide inspiration for our 3rd party styles to our IP owner and Licensees
    •  Assist in mentoring and training Assistant Merchandiser on tasks and responsibilities 
    •  Encourage team atmosphere across the Department and Interdepartmentally.
    •  Holds self and others accountable for work commitments and outcomes.

    Skills and Requirements


    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and meet the following qualifications:

    • Must be able to problem solve and weigh different options to determine how to best accomplish a task in a timely manner
    • ­Must be able to learn the details of the line and effectively communicate to cross-functional teams
    •  Adaptable in a fast paced, high growth work environment




    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Fashion Merchandising
    • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in Merchandising or fashion
    •  Proficient in Microsoft Office, WebPDM is a plus
